GrowTH night shelter is an initiative by churches in Tower Hamlets to respond to homelessness in our local community. It provides both immediate shelter for the homeless and help to secure more permanent accommodation.
It is open for seven months a year and is based at a different church each night of the week.
Guests are given a hot meal, friendship and a bed. St Luke’s Millwall partners with GrowTH to provide a place for people to sleep, gives them a hot meal, provides them with breakfast and a safe place where they can chat and build friendships. We however cannot do this without the help of volunteers. We run the Night Shelter one evening a week for three months so if you’d like to get involved or find out more about how you can get involved then please contact Nathan.
